Sculpture, Flag, and Altar for Ezili Dantò

PANEL TEXT:

Ezili Dantò (Erzulie Danthor)
The hot, fiery counterpart to Ezili Freda, she is a warrior mother goddess who lives in the forest and protects children and women — especially those abused or overburdened with work. Depicted as a black Madonna with her daughter Anaïs, she bears two scratches on her cheek, reputed to be the result of a run-in with her mulatto cousin, Ezili Freda.
